In 1969, young renegade concert promoter John Brower set about to book a show with the greatest legends of rock & roll, including Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis, as well as new acts like The Doors, Alice Cooper and Eric Clapton. The only problem – nobody wanted to go. Flirting with disaster, in debt to the Vagabonds and with a price on his head, Brower’s last desperate move was to book John Lennon. It would be the first time John would play alone without the Beatles, and the first appearance of the Plastic Ono Band …
